Riesling pure and focused, at its best. The wine is named after the “Red Slate” of the famous “Roten Hang” along the river Rhine.

Regional Information
Greater specialization in steep sites than any other estate on the Roter Hang, or in Rheinhessen generally. Starting at the Estate level almost all Riesling grapes are coming from classified premiere and grand- cru vineyard sites.

Vinification Details
Picked at moderate ripeness levels to conserve freshness and elgancy, the grapes are fermented in temprature controlled stainless steel tanks, ectanded maturation on the fine lees.
